【Ayashirabe】
Appearing on isolated driveways,
this yōkai is believed to bring about misfortunes.

【Uzou】
“A sad elephant water pot” collecting dust after being abandoned by a child.
He has the ability to make poisonous rain that causes flowers to wilt.
The rain causes humans to hallucinate if they drink it.

【Utakata-jorō】
Have you ever felt a presence behind you while washing your hair in the bath? She is that presence.
This female yōkai only appears near people who cannot run away because they are washing their hair. If you turn around, or say “Mr. Daruma fell over.(japanese statue game)” in your head, she will start following you around.

【Ara-basami】
This yōkai was born from a cracked laundry clip. He is very violent and uses his scissors to stretch or rip the collars and hems of laundry being left out to dry.
He destroys himself once he realizes that he will be exorcised.

【Nori-me】
A yōkai with a lid can’t shut because the brims are covered inwith glue.
He glues mouths and eyes shut while people are sleeping.

【Mizu-nomazu】
A drinking bird toy who will never be able to drink water again because of his broken neck.
He wanders around looking for fresh blood to fill up his belly jar.

【Kakure-bako】
This yōkai is a tissue box that hides.
He usually pretends to be a regular box, but hides when humans start looking for him. If he runs away, you won’t be able to find him for the rest of the day.

【Numanoza】
A yōkai born out of an old sofa that was carried into the attic because “it takes up too much space.” If you accidentally sit on him, you will sink into a bottomless swamp and get eaten.

【Tamarinsha】
A yōkai of a child who was run over and killed by a car due to a prankster who placed a ball between the tires and the spoke.
Since then, there have been accounts of a child looking similar to Wanyudo running around the scene of the accident every night.
If a bully sees him and that bully is a man, his balls will be taken out, and if the bully is a woman she will never be able to have children.

【Gen-ya】
A cursor yōkai. Skilled at illusions, he often hides from the screen
or multiplies himself. Because of this, he is also called “Genya” (Illusionary Arrow).

【Oto-utsushi】
The first yōkai who repeats the sound he has just heard. A modern-day “Kodama” (Echo).
If you hear the same song over and over in your head, it is the doing of this yōkai. He is always accompanied by a mysterious white dog. It is unknown whether this dog is a different yōkai, a part of him, or his familiar.

【Kuroe-bako】
A yōkai born from a television who lived through post-war Japan by being hit by his owner repeatedly.
He has since then held a grudge about being hit and is now looking for his owner, determined to hit him back. He trained his arms for his revenge.
Isn’t he so determined?

【Kuromaki】
A yōkai of video tapes that appear by river banks and bamboo fields. This yōkai teases boys by playing with their emotions. None of the tapes contain anything sexual.

【Jiban】
A floppy disk yōkai. He became a yōkai from intense jealousy towards CDs.

【Emuo】
An MO disk yōkai. He became a yōkai from intense jealousy towards CDs.
He has eyes and arms on his forehead, and opens disk flaps himself without being asked.

【Kōjiban】
A laser disk yōkai. He is huge and shoots lasers from his fingers.
He is also jealous of CDs, that poor guy.

【Mokutō-sei】
An alcohol lamp yōkai.
In Middle east culture, he might be equivalent to a genie in a lamp, but unfortunately he can’t grant wishes.

【Shimogusare】
This yōkai was born out of underwear that was worn for such long time that it rotted, and mushrooms started growing out of it.
Once underwear gets to this stage, it’s impossible to purify it even with water or sunlight. A frightening yōkai that brings about decay everywhere, from your lower body, clothes, to closets.

【Furai】
A daydreaming yōkai who obtained the power of flight after reflecting back on his life and afterlife as a chicken, chicken nuggets and fried chicken, wondering why he can’t fly until he grew frustrated.
He occupies all of Japan, tempting people and raising their cholesterol.

【Menma】
A former human who did not try to maintain a balanced diet and continued eating cup ramen. Finally, his house filled up with empty containers and he turned into noodles himself. He is noodles, not Menma.
