【Uwababa】
Have you ever encountered a “large, brown serpent” persistently swirling within the toilet bowl? Someone courageous would have flushed it before others witnessed it most of the time. But Uwababa is what becomes of that “serpent” after it has dwelled in the toilet bowl for an extended period with no one taking care of it. Once it manages to break out from the territorial barrier of the bathroom, it will contaminate everything around it.

【Jitto】
It appears suddenly on the road surrounded by greenery to stop the cars from moving. In the presence of Jitto, all vehicles come to a halt, resulting in a traffic jam. It is a rather troublesome creature. One might think that it’s an immovable entity, but in reality, the use of a simple lever can easily topple it over. Thus, it’s recommended that you carry a lever if you plan to drive through the mountains.

【Kusame-ki】
During an important meeting, while you’re chewing on your meal, when you have some milk in your mouth, and on other occasions, the frightful creature known as Kusame-ki appears out of nowhere to tickle your nose with its fluffy fingers just to make you sneeze. People say that Kusame-ki is the origin of the common saying that sneezing causes your soul to leave your body through the nose.

【Irodori】
Irodori is a collective mass of bird ghosts that were finally able to fly after yearning for the sky for so long. People say that a rainbow appears across the sky above when it appears. The colors from Irodori easily stain everything. If a person gets enveloped by Irodori, they will come out with painfully vibrant colors all over their body.

【Denko-seihin】
Denko-seihin includes the following: Fox Fridge, Fox Freezer, Remote Kon-trol, Personal Kon-puter, Foximile, Stereo Kon-ponent, and Mini Stereo Kon-ponent. (In Japanese, “kon” is commonly known as the crying sound of a fox.) These foxes disguise themselves as home appliances, replacing the actual devices. Then they vanish into thin air, produce strange noises, or create other irregularities. Even if you exchange one of them with a working appliance, Denko-seihin comes back to haunt you from the depths of hell for some reason.

【Kikirai】
Despite the small figure, Kikirai is an unruly, old imp. Kikirai immensely despises machines. Kikirai causes instances such as the smartphone screens smashing on their own and HDD breaking down. However, Kikirai does like TV and massage chairs.

【Dotama & Tenwani】
Dotama and Tenwani are two humanoid beasts that live in a cave. They prefer to communicate with body language and have constantly challenged every single human that has wandered into their cave for a fight, causing the humans to come out with bumps on their heads. However, due to increased understanding of animal rights protection in recent years, the number of people who take on fighting these two beasts has lessened. This fact saddens them. To these two beasts, the act of fighting is justice, and the number of bumps they create on human heads is the medal of honor.

【Katsuyu】
If you ever see an ostensibly sparkling, shiny road, that’s a path that Katsuyu has crawled over, so you shouldn’t take it. However, if you dare to walk over the slick pathway made by Katsuyu, slipping and falling won’t be the only things that will happen. Things like your jokes falling completely flat, business negotiations tumbling over, your lover calling you, “A boring person,” then leaving you, and other grave misfortunes may befall you.

【Trauma】
Trauma, which is written as 虎 (tora, “tiger”), 馬 (u, “horse”), and 魔 (ma, “demon”), is a monster that possesses a person’s head. When it neighs, a bright light flashes in its surroundings and people fear that scenery. Trauma is an injury, but at the same time, it can go on a rampage and hurt people. People weep and become confused because of it.

【Imi】
Imi was originally a serpent god that acted to admonish and discipline human beings when they broke the rules of society. However, due to humans creating many societal rules based on their selfishness, Imi became a cursed god. Now Imi exists to restrain and swallow everything. Its large, bloated belly is partially ripped open, and malicious intents seep from the gashes.

【Rinzō】
Rinzō has a head of an elephant, the body of a swallow, and peach-shaped buttocks. It manipulates fire. It will burn everything, including things that don’t look like they can be set alight. Not only that, but the fire it causes can show the illusion of hope or foolish fantasy to the masses. The meat from its buttocks tastes incredibly sweet, and the legend says that you will obtain eternal life and youth from devouring it.

【Utouto-sen】
Utouto-sen is also known by the name of Utouto-bune. It comes from the dream world to visit people nodding off to sleep. On this boat, white cats are having a great time, some boisterously playing around while others enjoy fishing. But if a person steps onto this boat, lured by the cuteness of the white cats, they will be taken to the world of dreams (and by that, it’s not a euphemism of a particular major theme park) and will never be able to come back.

【Bubunga】
Every day, e-mails fly around all over the place in the electronic world, but have you ever experienced your business emails ending up in the spam box from time to time? That is proof that the e-mail has transformed into Bubunga. Bubunga loves freedom so much that it flies off in an unpredictable, arbitrary direction.

【Samu-neko】
Have you ever experienced an instance where the windows have opened unbeknownst to you, letting in a cold breeze through the gap? That is proof of Samu-neko forcing its way through the windows and barging into your home. Samu-neko is a cat creature that comes with the northern wind during the winter, prying open every slit to bring in coldness inside your home. It’s simply a bad putty tat.
