【Fumikiri】
An evil ogre who steals souls, often seen near railway tracks. If you hear the clanging of a railroad crossing’s bell,
never step closer. If you do, both your heart and body will get slashed gruesomely by him.

【Ensha】
A yōkai of a transformed car born from the haunting spirit of a cat that died in an engine compartment. This car runs around while tracking fire, running over humans. You will not get possessed by this yōkai if you make sure to hit the hood of the car three times before getting on.

【Tōsha-sen】
A strange incident that takes place at crosswalks, it is believed that if you step anywhere other than the white line,
you will get dragged into the pit of the asphalt.
The game of “Don’t step off the white line when crossing the street, or you will die” became popular as an attempt to prevent kids from falling in.

【Kusha-kusha】
A wrinkled monster that flies in from nowhere.
When he runs, he looks like a small white dog or cat, and when he flies, he looks like a jellyfish. He triggers feelings of embarrassment and emptiness in people that see him.

【Yoroshiku】
A bad influence on children, this iron horse roars the streets wildly with a headless rider.
He blows out evil spirits from his nose, and running while letting out a roaring thunder noise.
He sometimes lets out a strange voice saying, “Pararira, pararira.”

【Harisuzume】
A poisonous insect that used to be a used syringe.
He flies like a butterfly, stings like a bee, and sucks like a mosquito.
If you get stung by him, he injects a poison that causes you to see beautiful hallucinations, during which he sucks the life out of you. People say that he has beautiful wings, which some believe is caused by the hallucination.

【Ôana-no-yama】
A strange phenomenon of a mountain having a huge, gaping tunnel.
If you go through a tunnel and get attacked by spirits, then it is the doing of this phenomenon.
You must sprinkle salt while you are still going through the tunnel.

【Hikari-me】
A bright, flickering fluorescent light yōkai. He has the power to blind people.
He leaves satisfied if you attach a string to him.

【Hirameki】
This yōkai loves the thoughts of humans. He wanders around the heads of humans lost in thought.
If you get possessed by him, you will suddenly get an idea.
This sounds helpful, but not all the ideas are necessarily good ideas.

【Renchin】
A yōkai born from a microwave that exploded. He spits out eggs while saying, “Ding!”
There is a legend that many years ago, people used to sacrifice wet cats to him. You must never perform this ritual now.

【Usosa】
A fake fish who tricks humans and fish and eats them. Never try to capture an unnaturally vibrant fish if you see them swimming in water. He stings you with a needle at the tip of his hair, and will drag you down to the bottom of the ocean.

【Funborutō】
A yōkai born out of a white mailbox. He was originally believed to be a benevolent spirit who returns evil text back underground.
But after people stopped finding these evil texts, he became a monster that eats anything with fantastical imaginations written on it.

【Gamaguchi】
A wallet yōkai. He eats coins every night, finally filling himself up with cursed paper money.
He does not appear in an organized and clean wallet.

【Shingakki】
A yōkai born out of a “Randoseru” (The official designated backpack for Japanese elementary school children.)
He weighs on your soul and body to rob you of your desire to go to school.
The “I Don’t Want to Go to School” epidemic that only affects students is caused by this yōkai.
He disappears after six years.

【Arigeta】
A frightening fish that sleeps on the bottom of a lake. He has a body like an alligator.
He is known for looking like an easy target for fishing, but is actually hard to catch. He is a disappointing sight to fishermen, so you don’t need to catch him. He is also seen sometimes in sewage pipes.

【Yaibami】
A blade that escaped the cover of a X-acto knife. If you cut him up in little blades, he multiplies like a planarian. He hurts everything he touches. People caught up in negative emotions and careless people are most vulnerable to his attacks.

【Fukin】
A monster born out of the sadness from being treated like filth, even though his role is to clean. He releases an unbelievably powerful stench. He leaves some kind of rotten liquid behind him, leaving everything in ruins.
18
【Jigen-sama】
God of time awe-inspired by some folk religions. It is often transmitted as a raging evil god.
